There is an article on MSNBC, which caught my eye and will have a major impact on the fashion and entertainment industries as well as my company.  As a fashion  and media company there will be no boundaries to the work we will be creating.  My clothing line will have to be exposed to my target market in order for it to be a success.  The article I seen entitled “ Moving trend: Fashion trucks hit the streets” opened up my eyes to a whole new way of marketing and advertising for the company.
Mobile boutiques are hitting the roadways instead of hitting the runways.  Much like a food truck mobile boutiques bring the fashion to the consumer.  This new niche began in LA and owners were able to experience lower overhead costs compared to their traditional boutiques.  This business idea does not have to be limited to just selling clothing and apparel, the media needs I offer my consumers could also be available and or delivered.
Our entire consumer market is forever changing and becoming more and more diverse.  Its tough to stay ahead and know what the next big thing in fashion will be.  It will be hard to stay ahead of the trends if my company is confined to the small town it originated in.  A mobile business will give me the opportunity to travel and go out and reach my target market directly.
Other cities have caught on to the mobile boutique market such as Texas, Boston, New York, LA, and Portland.  The mobile trend is impacting more than just the cell phone industry.  It’s affecting the fashion and entertainment worlds alike.  One obvious advantage is the amount of advertising will be gained by simply driving from one destination to the next.  Will brick and mortar boutiques dwindle like music stores have? Will customers go after mobile boutiques and internet shopping versus going to the mall.
